Our founder, Papa Palermo, enjoyed a good game of golf with his friends. These vintage photos, circa 1969, show Papa (center) with Frankie Avalon (American actor, singer and former teen idol) and a friend of Papa’s at one of the many Italian Open golf tournaments sponsored by Milwaukee’s Italian Community Center. In the other photo, Frankie gives Papa’s “leftie” golf clubs a lift.
